Thank you for that title, because, as I learned it (probably from you years ago), Madras actually designates the fabric only and not the pattern. It originated in Madras India. Where it's hot. Where you want it. Badly.
DB- Bobby Jones did a decent popover in solid blue madras three or four years ago. They screwed it up by adding their logo to the gusset. Not an issue if you tuck but popovers are best left untucked over weekends or on campus.
LBT- T Unit? Thanks so much for that.
ADG- I wrote a screenplay for The Unit. Insist on this moniker and I'll put the entire piece of crap on your blog as a comment.

Excellent, T-Unit. Thanks for the reminder. I recall wintering in Sanibel as a child wearing plain shirts made of madras. Or was it chambray?
T-Unit ...shit that's worth the trip over here.
Unit for short. Yep, that muthah is gonna stick.

Great work, as usual. Madras is such an interesting fabric! Love the old catalog scans.

That big stripe looks like a great shirt! Wonder if I could find one of those thrifting ...
I have to disagree, Thornproof. It looks like an eyesore to me. :)
