Almond Cake

Caswell Massey Almond Cold Cream Soap

In the Army, old one pound coffee cans were kept in showers for soap disposal. Those little bits and pieces added up to a decent size cake and were used by those who wound up broke, without soap, before pay day. It happened to me more than once. A soapy melange of Ivory, Irish Spring, Camay and whatever else was on sale at the Post Exchange.

Caswell Massey's Almond and Cold Cream soap is light years from that soap can. Ike (no stranger to the soap can himself) and Mamie Eisenhower had it for their White House. As the most popular of all Caswell Massey soaps, this almond scented cake lathers up thick and I'd even say creamy.

While CM's lime scent is my choice for Summer, almond is perfect for winter's hot and steamy showers or better, a long after-work soak with a cold martini (It happened to me more than once). A one year supply (12 cakes) is on sale for $65.66 and available here.

Speaking of cake...

Great shot. I don't need to read anything more. The image makes me want to purchase the soap immediately!
