Design Inspiration

Hudson's Bay Company Magazine? Beautiful but missing yellow.

Hudson's Bay Company Scotch? No and I can't find this Scotch anywhere.

Hudson's Bay Company Point Blanket? Cue the ballons.

Surprised so few of you knew the inspiration for my 'RLR' line. You know what they say..."You don't have to have a point... to have a point. Have a pointless weekend.

I grew up wearing a hudson bay point blanket made into an old school winter coat... old school as in 1830's old school.
That may have been your RL inspiration but look again and tell me your stuff doesnt look like Cross Colors circa 1980s.

There's a lot of mileage in this idea. I can see Ralph really going for a line of suits made from Navajo blankets and forget Madras, what about pants made of Amish quilts?

I thought your inspiration was Otter's lifesaver sweater, ala 'Animal House.' I must have been reading too much into it.

Go check an old relative's liquor cabinet...you may just find one hiding there.

Sorry Ralph has done that already, my wife has a sweater with the HBC stripes, RL about 4 years ago.
The striped colar polo is available at HBC in the section where they sell the blankets.
last winter the Queen Street flagship store had designers make coats out of blankets... it was a cool.

You out Laurened Lauren. You took an inspiration and echoed it in a number of ways that were simple and creative. That umbrella is fucking brilliant.
