This is a radical departure from Bastian's own line, what oyster guy referred to as a "transitional middle."

Shame that this is what Gant has become. I know that styles change. Brands, labels evolve, but it does not mean that they should become silly. This line looks like a costume more than clothes for a mature audience.

I like the navy tights with the red seam up the back- I have similar black ones but the navy and red combination is much more fun.

Christ amighty. 80s much?!

And when will this workboot/whitesunglasses shit die?

These people look like they got dressed in the dark.

GSV, I am not sure this shit is going to die anytime soon. This is the demographic that is spending money right now. If you are somewhat older, and retirement is is not so far off anymore, you're cutting back. Interest rates don't provide income anymore nor are they likely too anytime soon. It's the younger kids who think they have time to party who are buying stuff now.

Or maybe some people just need clothes more interesting than themselves.

Oyster Guy,
"...some people just need clothes more interesting than themselves."

You just screwed me outta a Gant ad. But it was worth it.

Or restated, more stupid looking than they are. There. Now there's no chance of that ad.

Is Bastian making you rethink Berlin hipsters?

I wonder if Gant, which, if I recall correctly, in its heyday was on the dowdier side of Brooks Brothers, attempts expiation by proffering the silliness seen here.
