Sloane Ranger meets American Trad

Ralph Lauren's Rugby gives me pause and hope. The store on University and 12th is Trad heaven. You have to admire what these designers have done by combining English Sloane Ranger with American Trad. Even the suits, three button, short center vent and narrow notched lapel, are made in the states. Unusual today and perhaps a fond memory in five years. And then somebody screws it all up....

Nice blog. I'm a mix of American Trad/Sloane Ranger/Young Fogey myself. Not difficult to combine elements of all three. The chap in the pic sort of resembles me a bit. Not fond of bow ties though.

The mixing is what it's all about. Thanks for taking a look. For the last couple of years bow ties more or less disappeared. If the Rugby Store is any sign they may be coming back. A lot of the sales guys were wearing them.
