Dutch Uncle- During one of my families many moves, we were traveling, as my mother tells the story, from one army post to another during Christmas and my sister cried from the back seat of the car, "We ain't got no home." But I respect your opinion.
Main Line- I don't respect your opinion. I suppose you'd rather heart a Crooner Xmas like that fuck stick draft dodger, Frank Sinatra. Merry Xmas and we loved being with you and yours last week.
For Christmas crooners...I prefer The Bingster. But Sinatra is still "Chairman of the Board."
I did say this is a good song...but it does have a distinct Ronettes sound.....and that ain't a bad thing. many people ripped off the Phil Spector "wall of sound" method and many copied the stylings of Ronnie...she was a powerhouse!
merry Christmas to you as well...and we also enjoyed the time spent. I hope you listen to that CD. Teri and I are going back to Dandelion this Friday...
Uncle Looney, Phil worked for L&S in New York briefly. He claims that is his guitar solo on On Broadway by the Drifters. Happy Christmas. War is Over. Douglas

The most un-moving Christmas song I can imagine, sir.
A greatb song....but mostly a clone of the Ronettes sound.

I guess Phil ripped himself off. This was written by him.
Phil Spector ripped off Lieber and stoller. Happy Holidays!
Uncle "War on Christmas" Looney
Happy Christmas, Uncle Looney. You've been missed around here.
Uncle Looney,
Phil worked for L&S in New York briefly. He claims that is his guitar solo on On Broadway by the Drifters.
Happy Christmas. War is Over.

I did not know Spector wrote this....but this info validates my statement of a Ronettes sound. happy Festivus! Commence the airing of grievances!
