Not as good as it was. Better than it will be.
Oh gosh! I remember seeing this and saying "hey! that's TinTin!"
This aired in 2005 & it was repeated so many times that friends would throw up when it came on.
I am a sucker for Dover Sole...looks like they did a good one. It is not an easy find!
Tintin, please do a review of Brooks Brothers restaurant when it opens.
Can't believe it's been two days and you have not paid tribute to Harold Ramis. A truly funny man, exceptionally gifted writer, humble beyond description and the tallest Jew I've ever stood beside.
Fun, Tintin. A bit off-topic, but serious: You have no discernible accent. I grew up on the NY Guyland, lived Southern, Midwestern, and several times in Fluffya. When I am fatigued or raise my voice, an ugly mix of all of the above comes out. Howdja do it? Coaching? Discipline? Douglas
Anon- I swear, I did not know. He kept an office in Highland Park and when I lived in Lake Bluff I always kept an eye out for him. Geez, how utterly sad. His appearances on the very early years of SCTV are some of the most brilliant and understated performances ever. I'll put something up soon.
Great video!! Looks like a place I need to visit next trip to Chicago. ML
When we moved to Chicago a year ago we lived a few blocks from there. Now we are moving to NYC cause my wife got a job with Ralph Lauren. Maybe I should go while I'm still in Chicago....
Give it a shot. If for nothing else than a burger and a glass of wine at what is, hands down, the most gorgeous bar in Chicago.
I will go, thanks for the advice. If I hate it, don't worry- you'll get the bill in the mail
Favorite line from a bartender at RL in Chicago (when he'd noticed my companion and I had finished our Martinis) - "Can I get you fellas another couple of bowls of loudmouth soup?"
You were great, as was the Louisiana waiter, but the woman (Raquel?) was a complete waste of space. Sorry, I tell it like it is.
jeff- I would imagine it's the same bartender I had 10 yrs ago. Hazen Pingree - I proposed to Raquel.
Well, I hope you picked the restaurants during the relationship!I was at Lloyd's last week, and thought about you and your blog while getting dragged to the Lamb for the umpteenth time . . . I guess I only pretended to mind
I always rotated the Lamb with Ball Brothers. That's not true. I just like writing Ball Brothers.
