The Summer of 89 was an interesting one in Europe. Full of promise and uncertainty - it was the last summer of the status quo. By Christmas Eastern Europe was free and Germany was on its way to being reunited. The Soviet Union had begun its death spiral and Thatcherism by that time was a spent force.
No one new what was coming and the music sort of reflected that.
Great reflection. Remember it well, especially the 'greed is good' era.
