This is Yvonne De Carlo:
Fast forward to :55 seconds in and you'll understand the Tony Curtis story.
He told this story to GQ or Esquire a couple years ago. I laughed for an hour.
ReplyDeleteHe was a classic.
ReplyDeleteGreat delivery, Thanks.
A classic. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteI want to hear Walter Mathau's version.
ReplyDeleteLet no one ever suggest that Americans don't have a sophisticated sense of humour after this ribsplitter.
ReplyDeleteI've mostly given up on blog spelling - life's too short as it is - but proper respect to proper names; Walter Matthau deserves at least that his is spelled correctly.
ReplyDeleteYvonne De Carlo played Lily Munster. She was also in the 10 Commandments and ummmmm a couple 3
ReplyDeleteother films.
A video of Yvonne De Carlo has been added to the post. She's dancing with an uncredited Tony Curtis in a scene from Criss Cross.
ReplyDeleteAs Dizzy Dean said; "It ain't braggin' if it's true." chicks dug
ReplyDeleteBernard Schwartz. I thought the music sounded very Cougat meets Herbie mann. thanks to google I found out that the bandleader, Esy Morales was once in Cougat's band and Herbie mann and yusef lateef both recorded that tune. Morales died in 1950 at 33 years of age.
Now that we've watched the clip, is "I effed Yvonne De Carlo" supposed to seem funnier?
ReplyDelete(I'm with Unashamedly Crap on this one.)
