They don't bother me one bit. I'd rather deal with a harmless, impotent monarchy than the ridiculous pseudo-monarchy that we've allowed our presidency to become. Especially when the princess looks like THAT.

Actually the presidency has always been a sort of pseudo monarchy, some wanted to make Washington King. And the Madisonian idea of three co equal branches of govt has been a fiction since WW 2. There's an interesting and wonkish new book out on the topic called The Executive Unbound.
And that is why I left England. Never going back again.

Hamilton's plan at the constitutional convention was for a sort of monarchy. He got booed, apparently, but has had the last laugh.
