  1. Thank you TinTin - love that. Coupled with a Giants beat down in attendance at new meadowlands - this philly boy is happier tonight. Merry Christmas

  2. For a moment I was afraid you were stranded in London (like a good friend of mine who has been trying to get back to Houston since Friday. I'm glad that is not the case.

    Cheers & Happy Christmas,

  3. Thankfully, I had a father that taught me about clothing and a brother that shared music. I've as much of a soft spot for Joe and the only band that mattered as I do for natural shouldered jackets.

I wish I could have seen them play before he passed.

    Merry Christmas tintin.

  4. ACKBLUZ- The bars here were in shock.

Big Daddy- Never worry about me if I'm stranded in London. What a wonderful place to be stranded.

Enzo- I had some Clash in college but only because the albums looked cool. After repeated listening there I liked some of it but most I didn't. Strummer's Mescalaros are, for me, far superior to the Clash and theres so much I like. Of course, I also like Paul Mauriat so be warned.

  5. The shlep to Myers, for some reason I always miss it slightly and have to search around, is a regular two monthly ritual. Then loaded with sausages (Cumberland and regular Chipolatas), pork pies, dried peas, Birds custard powder, and other essential elements of Brit cuisine which, to paraphrase Twain, tastes better than it sounds, it's the battle to find a cab (very hard around there I find) for the trip to Grand Central and a refreshing libation before staggering under the weight to the train that returns one along with a cholesterol laden bounty to the bucolic CT shore.

  6. Joe- There's a subway stop (A or 1) a short walk away. The pork and stilton pie has found my heart and will probably stop it.
