"Who needs the beach?" Probably no one with a 38" waist who douses his fast food fries with truffle oil and parmesan cheese then washes down this astonishing artery clogger with sweet champagne. What, no deep fried Moon Pie, Goo Goo Cluster or Stuckey's Pecan Log for dessert?
You didn't make it to the beach this summer, huh? I thought it was going to get past me, too, but I'm headed... wait for it... to St. Augustine. I'll report back.
Done with the beach for the year, anyway. Finally back to sitting outside without sweltering. Really nice opening shot. Another for the "book."

Who needs the rest of the world when you've got Manhattan, eh ol' chum?

ReplyDeleteI'll take the ocean over hot blacktop any day. That being said Manhattan has a certain charm in other seasons.
ReplyDeleteDB- Not here. Still a little sticky.
ReplyDeleteAnon- A road trip from Old Town to Nooga?
Greg- For me, the ocean is boring. Always has been. I can't sit still for more than 20 minutes.
I'm not the kind of person who can sit still either - unless I have a good novel. If not I'll want to leave the beach ASAP.
ReplyDeleteFirst photo in series - shadow on decking - is an awesome image. Great eye and thanks for posting.
