The Trad Pitch For Take Ivy

  1. I'm getting one. It also makes a GREAT gift item.

But. Shouldn't you be to the Left, rather than to the Right in this video? Is that your office?

  8. You should filmed this while sitting in a high-backed chair, wearing a smoking jacket (or a cape?!) and slippers, Brubeck playing softly as a morning sunrise.

  9. The guys at powerHouse Books asked if they could tape me saying a few words about Take Ivy at their office.

I'm happy to see so many of you cracking open your wallets and purses. Maybe even LWing'll squeeze his coin purse open and buy a copy.

M Lane- It's dead center on the you tube video. Part of the frame was cut off when I posted it. Although, I am to 'my' left.

Will you join me in an ardent plea to have the Boyer best of AA republished?

  11. E&E- I don't know what Boyer ever had to do with Air Defense Artillery but I'll ask him. Hey, we need to finish working on that cocktail.

  12. ooo tin tin in the flesh.
    looks like a fun book!
and btw - you can change the dimensions in your posted vid in the html. In two places you will see dimensions, adjust them both to match.
If I had to guess - your width is 400. So, try 400 wide X 300 high or somethin'. :)

  15. Maybe I'm stupid, but I don't get it... First you say you scanned the whole book so we can read it here if we don't want to buy it. Then you say we will have to buy it if we want to read it. Also you say you bought it for like 200 and then you say we can buy it for like 24... Apparently I missed something important but I can't figure it out.

  16. Dan - You're not stupid. I'm just unintelligible.

This book is an English translation of the Japanese book. You can buy the Japanese book (edt.s 1965, 1974, 2006) but they're few and pricey. And if you can't read Japanese you'll only be able to look at the pics.

Or, for 24.95 (less on Amazon) you can get this translation and understand the text. It comes out Sep 1 but is being presold on Amazon.

If that doesn't clear it up - you're stupid and I have to learn how to talk.
