13 pair of chinos and khakis come under the close inspection of Mr Boyer and Mr Bryan all next week here on The Trad. Hey! I'm not kidding.

  3. Anon- I don't know about exciting. Earth shattering perhaps but not exciting.

    KS - No peeking.

  4. Very curious to see what brands you've picked for this. Can't wait for all the discourse.

  5. Decent representation of brands but that's not the point here. The point is seeing what these men saw in these trosuers. It was a lesson to me and I hope it'll be to you as well.

  7. Please have them examine them in a 32" waist, 32" or 34" inseam and then submit said samples to me to ensure proper, ermmm...restocking.

  8. KS- Most were 32" waist. That seems to be the new sample size. Lucky man.

  10. I can't wear chinos. I bulge like something out of the Village People.

  11. HTJ- I can't argue the brilliance but I had no idea it would be such fun and a huge education.

Anon- I suppose you're a 32" waist as well. Some people are lucky in everything.

  12. Make sure you throw in a "blind" pair of Old Navy. I'd love to see where they would fall in the rankings.

  16. Did this come about because of the $550 chino article in the times?

  17. Look for the best/softest you can find.

Waiste 32 --- for me it took only ten years go to from 32 to 36 ! Ugh!

  18. Enzo- Emails to contestants were sent out as early as 4/12. The NY Times piece ran 4/28. This was well under way before the story ran.

Paul- There's a good selection of soft and they all come in 36. I keep trying to remember how ungrateful I was when I was a 30/30.
