You have to wonder why photographers always made babies do pushups in the 1950's. I assume this is the 50's BTW. Girls didn't have to wear bow ties, we had puffed sleeves and smocked dresses. I, however, rarely am seen in puffed sleeves OR smocking. These days.

Tin-tin's phred/dad said You may have seen photo of me wearing bow tie at an "official" function in my dress blue uniform. At such functions, as soon as the "official" part was over, I went to my car, tossed clip-on bow tie on dash and put on a four-in-hand (always with Windsor knot). Then reenter the club, return to the by then less formal function, or, most often, join our clique of fellow officer 'dissidents'So at informal bar where we'd loosen tie, undo top shirt button, undo coat buttons and lounge around with hands in pockets. Wives and GFs (especially GFs) welcome. So much for bow ties. I've always thought ascots better.
