It was a busy Christmas. I'm late on everything hence my fall back to Three Kings Day but more about that later. Old New Castle in Delaware is a favorite place of mine. You're certainly not going to stumble upon it driving up I95. There's not much to do around it - - or in it for that matter. It's a little remote and it's very 18th Century which is why I think it's perfect. This is where I'm going to retire. Or die trying.
You'll get there. It looks great! And there seems to be a good pub...

Great place. I sat at that very table last July and enjoyed a few of the stronger ales on the menu including, if I recall correctly, a local apple offering. Enjoy the new year.

spinlps-Great place isn't it. That Imperial Stout I had was perfect for the brisk but bright winter's day I was there. Just a few feet from the fire.

Olde Newcastle is a gem, indeed. We had friends who lived there and it was the perfect in-between for the NYC and Baltimore/DC crowds to meet up.
